About KTTA

Creating a New Chapter in the History of the Textile Industry Together,
The Korea Textile Trade Association (KTTA) is here to support you.

The textile industry has carved out a brilliant history in the economic history of South Korea. In 1987, it became the first single industry to achieve \$10 billion in exports, firmly establishing itself as a key player in national economic development. In 1994, textile fabrics surpassed the \$10 billion export mark as a single item, showcasing the depth of our country's industrial capabilities to the world.

Today, the textile industry faces new challenges in the midst of changing times.

The collapse of the global supply chain, rising external uncertainties, and the 'three highs' of high interest rates, high inflation, and high exchange rates have brought crisis and challenges to our entire economy. In particular, the shortage of labor in textile manufacturing sites and rising energy and raw material prices are threatening the competitiveness of midstream textile companies.

However, these crises also present opportunities for innovation.

Companies that actively respond to change and capture new technologies and market trends will be able to lay the foundation for growth even in the midst of crisis.

KTTA is leading the way in automating manufacturing processes and implementing 3D textiles in line with the era of digital transformation. We are also actively promoting fair low-carbonization and eco-friendly certification support to achieve carbon neutrality. In addition, we are supporting our companies' export expansion by developing high-value-added textile materials and supporting various overseas premium textile exhibitions.

KTTA will continue to grow together with midstream textile companies and do our utmost to support and strive for global market leadership.
